Kevin McFadden brings nearly a decade of experience in the HVAC industry, with a breadth of direct engineering work in research, product development, design, testing, applications, sales, management, and regulatory affairs. He has deep experience in energy efficiency standards and testing procedures, from creation and revision to evaluation and implementation. Throughout his career, he has served as a liaison with industry partners and clients, and has advocated for collaboration, innovation, and forward-looking strategies.
Prior to joining the 2050 Partners team, Mr. McFadden was the manager of test engineering at one of the market-leading manufacturers in commercial and residential VRF. In that capacity, he carried out extensive work with multi-split heat pumps and other new technologies, with his scope including hands-on testing of equipment, resident expert on current and upcoming standards and procedures, primary interface for offsite testing, personnel management, and thorough communication and consultation across cultural and organizational levels. He has served both then and now as an active contributor to many industry committees, including ASHRAE and AHRI, and he is licensed as a Professional Engineer. Among energy advocates, Mr. McFadden provides a unique, valuable perspective around the feasibility, practicality, and unforeseen implications of implementing proposed standards and test procedures.
