Stefaniya Becking has 15 years of experience in project management, product management, and data analysis in the environmental engineering field. She is experienced in working in private, public and non-profit sectors. 

Since 2015, Ms. Becking has been focused on promoting the smart use of energy and water through code advocacy work at local, state, and federal levels. Prior to 2015, Ms. Becking worked at the intersection of information technology and environmental sustainability. At an ag tech startup, she co-led the development of a software product that supported ~400 growers in the United States and Mexico in using water, energy, and chemicals more efficiently. At the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, she led teams from Enforcement and Legal Divisions to develop software requirements for streamlining business processes such as air pollution complaints, compliance verifications, and permit violations. 

Ms. Becking currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Irrigation Institute, the oldest independent forum on irrigation and water in California. She also served on the Board of Directors for two wastewater agencies in California.
